We exhibited in our first medical conference in Pennsylvania last September 24-28. We brought locally-grown coffee beans and chocolates all the way from the Philippines, and they were a big hit! The Philippines is one of the few countries that grow all four major coffee varieties (Arabica, Robusta, Exelsa, Liberica) as well as high quality cacao–all due to our rich soil, diverse topography, and tropical climate! It took us months of selection and taste tests to identify the best coffee beans and chocolate varieties to give out to our booth visitors.

We met over a hundred family doctors and practice managers, and enjoyed listening to their stories and experiences. We learned a lot about how healthcare is changing and practices are evolving. These stories help us improve our services and programs to keep up with changing times.

We also gave a talk on security and heard about the challenges you frequently have. We’re working on a program that can help doctors and practice managers who need support in improving security and protecting PHI. Our discussions at FMX helped us identify which materials are relevant and urgently needed.

We’re looking forward to attending more medical conferences. If you’re planning to attend one soon, let us know and we just might be there–armed with Philippine chocolates and coffee beans!

Writing should be one part informative and one part entertaining. It's what differentiates a generic piece of text from a well-written article. Rey Palmares dedicates much of his time to fine-tune that craft, juggling the joys and frustrations of writing with those of his law school life outside of the office. He's making it work so far.
