A recent survey from Constant Contact reveals that most small business owners want to outsource their online marketing activities like social media management and search engine optimization, but don’t do so because of cost matters.
TV/Radio ads are the most currently outsourced (40%) of all the activities, followed by SEO (35%), Online Banner Ads (23%), Website Development (22%) and Local Print Ads (20%). Email newsletters and social media are the least outsourced with only 3% each.
The survey explored on what businesses desire to outsource, and social media marketing turns out to be the most wanted with a 16% gap from its current state. Coming in a close second is SEO with a 15% gap.
Why is this so?
The most common reason why business owners end up doing their online marketing activities in-house is they can’t afford to outsource, what with the expensive seo marketing services offered by virtual assistant companies around the world. There are other reasons, of course, such as low internal bandwidth, and few effective external resources.
What does this mean then?
These survey results mean two things: outsourcers should look for more options for companies offering online marketing services, as there are a lot that provides low-cost but high-quality marketing packages and outsourcing companies should take advantage of this by revisiting their strategies and providing the best service they can.
