Apple’s upcoming event will be announcing a new chip for their computers. It may seem like the same kind of noise in tech but it portends something significant. To understand what that is you have to step back and think about your phone. It works differently than your laptop. It is not just a smaller screen but there are just some things you can’t do well on your phone.

There is a reason and it’s the hardware that causes the OS to never be quite the same.

Apple is about to change that. Once some creates a holistic environment across all their services so the user moves between them always in step with what they’ve just done. Microsoft and Google and other equipment and software companies will be scrambling to catch up. This innovation will transform how we work with tech and make it easier and more transparent.
